It's late at night and you feel so caught up, these feelings that you have must have come from your cup.
I feel like I am being used. You say that this is way too good to be true, so I am here to make a fool out of you.
I feel like never letting go.
I pray for nights, nights like this. Where it starts with your name and it ends with a kiss.
But I never thought that I would love a girl, a girl so cool, you caught my eye at the neighborhood pool.
We're so invincible.

1998
03:09
|

The year was 1998 when my father went out to fight the storm.
He told me to tie my boots up tight and to wear my coat to keep me warm.
Yeah, well I'm losing my grip, I’m losing my mind. I think it’s time to set my own sail.
Who knew I'd become a man one day, and that coat still keeps me warm as hell.
Cause I'm ready, I'm ready to fight my storm. cause I’m ready.
I'm losing my grip, and I’m losing mind, I’ve got these feelings coming over me again.
Yeah, well I’m losing my heart and I'm losing my soul, I've got these feelings coming over me again.
Yeah, well I'm losing my grip, and I’m losing my soul, I've got these feelings coming over me again.
Well my feet don't know who I am anymore, and the walls they seem to be closing in.
Yeah, well you better move fast, oh he told me so, for life is too short and too fast.
Well if that's true then I'll tell you this; My words they were meant to last.

One More Night
03:24
|

Well I travel across this desert on my hands and knees, no one get in my way babe cause no ones stopping me.
Well I'd kill a hundred men just to see your face, I'd wait one hundred years just to feel your warm embrace.
Well, it's okay and baby it's alright. This distance is a battle that we must fight and I swear I'll move towards the light. If I could just have you for one more night.
Well the sun it beats down on my back like daggers from above, I never thought that I would be the one to fall in love.
Your skin so soft and your smile so bright, you are my angel girl you are my light.
It's okay and baby it's alright. this distance is a battle that we must fight and I swear I'll move towards the light. If i could just have you for one more night.
One more night.

When You Come Around

|

Well the other day, I went to the doctor, and the doctor said it will fade away.
But if it shall not, baby I promise you, this won’t change in any way.
I get this feeling, when you come around. I must be dreaming.
Is it the way you hold me tight? Oh, I feel so at home.
Or is it the kiss at the end of every night? Oh, I hate sleeping alone.
I get this feeling, when you come around. I must be dreaming, dreaming about today.
It's what we're talking about, dreaming about today.

Fire in Our Hearts
05:15
|

Up above the Skyway Bridge, past the smoke stacks and the brick house where my father used to live, you'll find me there, you'll find me there.
At the bar down the street we play pick up with our feet, kicking empties by the dozen in a city that doesn't know we're here.
Hear the roar from the stadium doors, from the rooftops of Jackson, where the hopeless were crashing and dreaming away, they're dreaming away.
At the bay we watch the ships sail away. leave our troubles in the city where things aren't so pretty but we call it home.
The treasures we seek aren't left in the open, they're buried away in the people we meet in this city of dreams and the fire in our hearts.
Fire in our hearts.
